I remember hearing of Bacon’s Rebellion in some long ago history survey course, but if any details were provided(which I doubt, we were probably told to memorize the date.) they have long been forgotten.
There are so many parallels to our political shenanigans of today, it becomes tempting to draw a straight line from one era to another. Alas and alack, such temptation is naught but folly.
It's soooo hard, isn't it, Don? It's ok to think about,. though, and a lot of fun! I bet we would all draw different parallels, and that they would change by next year or next week!
