Read Fever, 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson last summer with a group of students in a virtual book club. Naturally, it led us to a compare/contrast discussion. We all came away grateful not to be living through the yellow fever outbreak in Philadelphia the summer of that year. We had some great discussions! Wish now that I had brought up the plague as well...
