I'm hoping that means "rolling in the aisles", Don. :)

Good with the double entendre and euphemisms, aren't we? 😆

Lol! Ah, thank you, Gregg! A 1970s British youth watching Carry On films, Are You Being Served? and, well, just living there. 😂

I watched some Carry On films myself as a teen.

And here I thought missionary positions were already out of favor by that time. Who knows what we may learn next?

Surprisingly, Don, missionary positions remain ubiquitous around the globe. There's been a great deal of stimulating research into this.

BRAVO!!! Your entendres - double, triple, more multiple - were superb! I was glad to read that in your box of bonbons you didn’t find Python specials like Spring Surprise and Anthrax Ripple. Again, bravo!

😂😂😂 I had forgotten about those! Tim, between you and me, I actually can't do a voiceover of this post because I kept corpseing despite my best efforts. I think I lost it with dried prune.... 😂😂

Oh my, you've out-done yourself with this one, Annette! Definitely not an average professional book review. I was laughing out loud at the multiple entendres!! 🙃 And I madly desired a box of special Artisanal Chocolates from Peace by Chocolate (Nova Scotia Canada) by the end!! I'm three-quarters through Doomed Romance today, and enjoying it while googling maps, places, and times mentioned in the book. Thanks for the great ride!! 😊

Awesome!! Thank you so much, Celia! 😍 Great idea to do a bit of supplemental Googling! Had such fun with this.... Hopefully Dr. Heyrman shares my sense of humor. 😁

Cracked me up! This was the perfect thing to read at 3 a.m. when insomnia struck - thank you, Annette! I figure I can use your first name because we met over coffee/tea in Eugene while you were passing through Oregon…. So thanks for helping me out this early morning — I think I can go back to sleep now, 🥱.

Margie, of course I remember you, and of course you should call me Annette! Usually I recommend my academic work as a cure for insomnia, but glad giggling works for you! Thank you for the lovely comment. 😍

Yay! Thanks, Kate! I had a long silence after this appeared, and I was like “uh-oh”. Still nervously awaiting the author’s judgment (uh-oh….)

Reflections on the Drunk on Chocolates episode:

"while wearing high heels" - The Western burka

favorite phrase: throbbingly vibrant culture

Hmmm ... doesn't read romances .... but sure seems to have acquired a unique vocabulary pertaining thereto ... osmosis?

Burka: Ooh, no. The Dr. Heyrman I've seen on that day and on YouTube . . . Nope.

Throbbingly vibrant: Thank you! :)

Knowing vocab: I know I won't be believed, and I can hardly believe it myself, but nope, not a one. Almost certainly gleaned from reading the columns of "Sylvie Krin" in my beloved satirical magazine Private Eye. :)
